In Their Own Words

Closing for Seven Days

Since we’ve begun writing about the evil men and women with badges, we have been subjected to some of the most severe and alarming harassment we’ve ever seen. These emails and phone calls have not been limited to Mr. Zimmerman but all our staff, painting a grim picture of the situation.

Some of these communications have contained what we can only describe as threats, which has given us pause.

We are reviewing options with our legal team and find many of the messages and tactics used by some members of the El Paso Police Department actionable. We will take action against these officers.

Mr. Zimmerman has attempted to file reports against a handful of officers who have identified themselves as voicemails or emails. Officers Mr. Zimmerman has made contact with have thus far refused to take reports, which is unconscionable.

Based on what is happening, we will take seven (7) days off and all go on holiday. We hope you understand this decision and will continue to support us in our work.

While out of the office, we encourage you, civilian or officer, to share information with us. We feel that the El Paso Police Department’s corruption needs to be rooted out, as the Department refuses to do it itself.

We are working with lawyers and Civil Rights Groups in hopes of obtaining injunctions against EPPD as a whole and specific officers who should never have been allowed to join a police force.

Thank you,
